Underwriting Risk Audit Consultant
Job Summary
Conducting real-time audit file examinations for underwriters, the full-time salaried Underwriting Risk Audit Consultant will ensure compliance with company underwriting standards, identify inconsistencies, and provide quality reviews while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Identify risks not underwritten in compliance with company standards and report findings to the VP, Underwriting Audit
- Review randomly selected approved cases daily for adherence to underwriting standards and document results
- Provide recommendations for improving underwriting training and report any inconsistencies in the risk selection process
Required qualifications
- BS/BA degree preferred or applicable work experience
- Minimum 8 years of individual life underwriting experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large case and impaired risk underwriting
- Knowledge of underwriting and policy issue processes
