Underwriting Specialist II

Job Summary

Supporting the growth and profitability of the Employee Benefits business, the full-time remote Underwriting Specialist II will analyze and evaluate risks for new and renewing groups while ensuring accurate and timely case implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate new business, sold cases, and renewal risks while applying underwriting guidelines and contract provisions
• Support business growth and profitability by validating rates, plan designs, and insurance risk assessments
• Partner with Underwriting, Contracts, Premium Administration, and Field teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of cases

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance experience, preferably in disability benefits
• Experience providing customer service in a high-volume and/or complex work environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data extraction and basic formula functions
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
