Job Summary
To support a growing team, the freelance Urdu Linguist will manage linguistic tasks, oversee quality assurance, and provide mentorship to fellow linguists while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform LQA reviews and manage linguistic feedback to ensure high-quality language services
- Liaise with translation teams and clients to drive language quality improvement and address linguistic queries
- Maintain reference materials and proactively monitor language quality performance, implementing necessary changes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Language Arts, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services
- At least 2 years of experience in a Language Lead or Senior Linguist position
- Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu-Pakistan and excellent command of English
- Familiarity with translation and localization tools, along with strong knowledge of linguistic quality assurance processes
