Utah Licensed Coding Analyst

Job Summary

Providing expertise in coding for various healthcare programs, the full-time remote Utah Licensed Coding Analyst will review claims, monitor billing practices, and manage provider appeals while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing claims to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement based on contracts and regulations
• Logging provider appeals and sending correspondence regarding submitted appeals
• Consulting with other departments and maintaining subject-matter expertise to educate providers and staff

Required qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant work experience in coding or healthcare
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• National professional coding certification (e.g., CPC or CCS) must be obtained within one year of hire (preferred)
• Experience with government programs such as Medicare or Medicaid (preferred)
