To support a growing defense litigation practice, the remote Utah Licensed Litigation Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of defense matters from intake through trial or settlement, representing clients in state and federal courts while advising on coverage and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of Utah defense matters, including hearings, trials, and settlements
- Represent insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and private businesses in various legal proceedings
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs while advising clients on risk and claim handling
Required qualifications
- Active UT Bar Admission
- Recent experience in defense litigation
- Familiarity with insurance defense and liability defense matters
- Experience in handling complex commercial litigation and related legal issues
- Background in district court proceedings is also considered
