Utilities Billing Representative
Job Summary
Resolving pending claims and addressing insurance issues, the remote Special Utilities Billing Representative will manage account resolution tasks while working standard business hours, Monday through Friday, in an Eastern Time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Review and resolve claims on hold by identifying and addressing underlying issues
- Document findings and actions accurately in compliance with HIPAA and internal standards
- Communicate with insurance companies to collect claim status and deposit information
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong computer skills with a basic understanding of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Understanding of insurance claims and ability to manage high volumes of work under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to independently manage job responsibilities in a remote environment
