UX/UI Designer

Job Summary

As the founding UX/UI Designer for a remote, full-time position, the candidate will manage the end-to-end user experience strategy for analytics applications used by NASA's aeronautics community, focusing on transforming complex data into intuitive user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a design system, establishing design governance and best practices
• Lead user research efforts to define user personas and translate findings into actionable design recommendations
• Design high-fidelity mockups and workflows for data-driven experiences, ensuring usability and clarity in complex data applications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
• Eight years of experience in analytics-focused, data-intensive applications
• Strong portfolio showcasing complex data-driven product design work
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and experience creating a design system from the ground up
• Experience defining user personas and conducting user research that influences product design
