Job Summary
Investigating health insurance claims and facilitating payments for Veterans' Affairs, the full-time remote VA Claims Specialist will manage unresolved claims and ensure claims resolution while participating in comprehensive training.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve health insurance claims for Veterans' Affairs and its affiliates
- Follow up on unresolved claims to facilitate timely payment
- Utilize multiple software applications and maintain productivity metrics in a fast-paced environment
Required qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Technical proficiency to work on multiple computer screens simultaneously
- Experience in a professional office environment
- General understanding of insurance billing is a plus
- Experience with billing and appealing denied health claims is a plus
