Validation Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and mission-driven, the full-time Validation Specialist will support healthcare quality improvement initiatives by reviewing medical records, investigating discrepancies, and documenting findings both onsite in York, Pennsylvania and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and adjudicate discrepancies between hospital and CDAC abstractions to determine the gold standard answer
- Document explanations for discrepancies and provide educational feedback to relevant parties
- Perform medical record abstraction as needed to support module production goals
Required qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or medical record review environment
- At least one (1) year of abstraction experience with a track record of above-average data accuracy and productivity
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training in medical record review preferred
