Vehicle Image Damage Assessor

Job Summary

Using industry knowledge and technical expertise, the full-time Vehicle Image Damage Assessor will assess damaged vehicles from images, prepare detailed reports for insurance companies, and make informed decisions regarding damage and repair requirements while working remotely with occasional travel to the office.

Key responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage using images and documentation to prepare accurate engineer's reports
• Research vehicle values and assign salvage categories in accordance with guidelines
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Required qualifications

• Proven body shop estimating experience and strong knowledge of motor vehicles
• Experience using computerized repair estimating systems and valuation tools such as Glass's and Audatex
• Understanding of insurance claims procedures and vehicle roadworthiness requirements
• Ability to accurately interpret vehicle damage from images and supporting information
• Membership or willingness to enroll with a relevant professional body such as MIMI or IAEA
