Verification of Benefits Specialist
Job Summary
To support a collaborative team in a meaningful role, the full-time Verification of Benefits Specialist will verify insurance coverage and benefits for potential admissions, accurately input data into SalesForce, and communicate with payers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Verifying insurance coverage and benefits using systems like Availity and Verify TX
- Capturing and inputting thorough insurance data into SalesForce with precision
- Running biweekly reports on current census insurance coverage and triaging urgent VOBs as directed
Required qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, particularly in Verification of Benefits
- Familiarity with active policy coverage, payment percentages, co-pays, and authorization requirements
- Preferred light billing and collections experience
- Experience in Behavioral Health settings is advantageous
