Vermont OSP Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time OSP Designer in Vermont, this role focuses on supporting large-scale telecommunications projects by designing cost-efficient fiber and copper network routes, conducting site visits, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete site visits and analyze network systems to develop efficient network route designs
• Collaborate with internal GIS and CAD teams to produce documentation for application packages
• Review project deliverables for accuracy and manage engineering quality and compliance with design specifications

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of OSP Design engineering experience
• 1+ years of experience performing QC review on OSP Design packages
• Proficient in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, OCalc, or similar GIS platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Sound knowledge of fiber optic and copper networks, including splicing schematics
