Veterinary Clinical Pathologist
Job Summary
To support veterinary diagnostics, the full-time remote Veterinary Clinical Pathologist will diagnose diseases and causes of death in animals by examining tissues, fluids, and hematologic specimens while consulting with veterinarians and preparing diagnostic reports.
Key responsibilities
- Describe and interpret cytologic preparations and generate pathology reports
- Consult with veterinarians regarding disease findings and participate in bi-weekly pathology rounds
- Provide scientific advice on sample collection and maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists or eligible for certification
- Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state or province
- Fluency in English and French
- Experience in a laboratory setting is a plus
