Vice President of Cloud Operations

Job Summary

Seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Cloud Operations, this full-time remote role will unify and lead Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps disciplines, focusing on building resilient cloud-native systems and ensuring platform reliability for high-traffic events.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate Cloud Engineering, SRE, and DevOps into a unified infrastructure organization with clear charters and ownership
• Own availability and performance metrics for live-streaming and ticketing platforms, defining SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code and a self-service internal developer platform to enhance deployment efficiency

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
• Proven track record of consolidating Cloud Engineering, SRE, and DevOps functions into a high-performing organization
• Hands-on expertise with AWS production workloads across multiple accounts and regions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD tooling
• Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and PCI DSS
