Job Summary
Leading a remote engineering team, the full-time Vice President of Engineering will oversee software engineering, DevOps, and data initiatives while collaborating closely with the CEO and executive team to shape strategic direction and enhance customer focus.
Key responsibilities
- Coach and develop engineers and DevOps teams, fostering a culture of ownership and pride in craft
- Connect engineering strategy to company goals, evolving planning and prioritization processes to improve quality and predictability
- Guide architecture and ensure platform security and reliability, managing compliance with regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in leadership roles within engineering organizations
- Experience as a head of engineering with a seat on an executive or senior leadership team
- Strong technical foundation in backend systems, APIs, and distributed architecture, with experience in DevOps or infrastructure
- Proven track record of building and retaining high-performing teams through change and innovation
- Hands-on experience leading AI adoption within engineering teams
