Vice President of Engineering

Job Summary

Serving as the senior engineering authority, the full-time salaried Vice President of Engineering will establish technical vision and governance for a diverse portfolio of defense and national security programs, ensuring engineering excellence and successful product development while collaborating closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish engineering standards and ensure alignment with customer mission requirements and long-term product strategy
• Support the transition from bespoke engineering to scalable product solutions, promoting modular architectures and common product frameworks
• Partner with the CTO to implement enterprise engineering strategies and foster a culture of accountability and innovation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in defense, aerospace, or related sectors
• Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering organizations in both development and production environments
• Strong background in systems engineering and product development
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance
