Vice President of Risk Management

Job Summary

Providing enterprise leadership for risk management and compliance functions, the full-time Vice President of Risk Management will establish a risk-based framework to identify, assess, and respond to significant enterprise and compliance risks while collaborating with various organizational functions in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the organization's enterprise risk management framework, ensuring significant risks are identified and communicated to senior leadership
• Establish and maintain a second-line compliance risk management framework, conducting periodic compliance risk assessments and developing a Compliance Monitoring Plan
• Develop a risk-based framework for assessing new funding opportunities and coordinate risk assessments with relevant functions to identify potential risks before accepting funding arrangements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, accounting, international development, risk management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Significant senior-level experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, or governance
• Demonstrated experience designing or leading enterprise risk and/or compliance programs in complex organizations
• Strong understanding of risk-based compliance monitoring and the roles of management, legal/compliance, and Internal Audit
• Experience with U.S. Government-funded programs and applicable compliance frameworks strongly preferred
