Vice President of Security

Job Summary

Leading the charge in security strategy and operations, the full-time salaried Vice President of Security will establish and manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering teams, and enhance enterprise trust while ensuring compliance and operational integrity in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, implementing a controlled internal AI gateway and enhancing consumer-facing AI security measures
• Direct security engineering efforts, including AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving the roadmap for secure design and automated response mechanisms
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, ensuring security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth and fundraising processes
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up, demonstrating a track record of team development and control implementation
• Executive presence with experience in engaging with boards and enterprise customers on security matters
• Current knowledge and conviction regarding AI security challenges and solutions, including prompt injection and agent access management
