Vice President of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in a full-time capacity, the Vice President of Security will manage AI security initiatives, oversee security engineering functions, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership and maintaining compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and enhancing detection engineering
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives and security compliance, ensuring readiness for fundraising and customer security reviews while maintaining SOC 2 and PCI controls

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern security tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience in managing corporate IT functions as part of the security mission
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
