Vice President of Security

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives at a cutting-edge AI-native company, the full-time salaried Vice President of Security will manage AI security, security engineering, and operational security while ensuring enterprise trust and compliance readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and prompt abuse detection systems
• Lead security engineering teams in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and implementing automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including customer security reviews and technical controls for compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth or major fundraising
• Strong technical expertise in AI security concepts, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to engage with executive leadership and enterprise customers effectively
• Familiarity with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
