Vice President of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security initiatives at a forward-thinking company, the full-time salaried Vice President of Security will manage AI security, security engineering, and corporate IT, ensuring robust security measures while adapting to emerging threats in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and identity management for agents
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving initiatives in application security, security architecture, and cloud security
• Manage corporate IT security, ensuring secure operations and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while enhancing enterprise trust

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical knowledge in cloud-native security, including AWS identity management and modern application security tools
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and model-mediated data exfiltration
