Vice President of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried Vice President of Security will manage AI security initiatives, oversee security engineering functions, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with executive leadership and preparing for future funding.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and automated response playbooks
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience managing corporate IT functions, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
