Vice President of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time salaried Vice President of Security will build and oversee AI security functions, manage security engineering teams, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership and representing security to the executive team and board.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including developing internal AI gateways and enhancing consumer-facing AI security measures
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving initiatives for secure design and automated response playbooks
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI requirements

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering practices
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Demonstrated executive presence and ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
