Virginia Adjunct Professor

Job Summary

To support program and enrollment growth, the part-time Graduate Adjunct Professor will teach online courses while traveling to the Reston, Virginia location once per eight-week term, focusing on student engagement and success in the online classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction and enthusiasm for their learning
• Provide thorough and constructive feedback on student work using rubrics
• Demonstrate subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the academic program

Required qualifications

• A terminal degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the academic field is preferred
• Extensive professional experience in a related field
• Previous experience teaching online students at the university level
• Completion of onboarding training as a condition of hire
• Minimum technology requirements must be met for online teaching
