Virginia Care Coordination Technician

Job Summary

Supporting a collaborative healthcare team, the full-time Virginia Care Coordination Technician will provide direct support to care coordination staff and members by managing telephone triage, data entry, and scheduling services for members' care plans in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone triage and manage incoming calls while providing data entry services for clinical and non-clinical information
• Schedule Health Risk Assessments, Level of Care Assessments, and follow-up calls in compliance with care plans
• Assist care coordinators in arranging services and conducting provider outreach for expiring authorizations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of administrative experience in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and Medicaid/Medicare benefits
• Familiarity with Virginia regulatory compliance standards
• Experience in scheduling and managing multiple deadlines
