Job Summary

To support a collaborative healthcare environment, the full-time remote Virginia Certified Medical Coder will accurately report ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for patient accounts, manage coding queries, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while achieving high accuracy and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately enter and report coding data, maintaining a minimum accuracy rate of 95%
• Manage coding queries and collaborate with the Coding Manager to address coding denials in a timely manner
• Meet established productivity standards, coding an average of 2 inpatient accounts per hour

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• CCS or CPC certification
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital setting
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
