Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Associate Counsel will provide legal advice, draft and negotiate contracts, and conduct legal research while working remotely or from the Alexandria, VA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary attorney for HR-related transactional and regulatory matters, including vendor contracts and employee handbook maintenance
- Provide legal support for business and contract negotiations across various ASCO departments and programs
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for ASCO programs, including content licensing and international expansion efforts
Required Qualifications
- JD and active Bar membership in good standing
- 3 - 5 years of experience advising clients on Human Resources, employment, and employee benefits matters
- Previous experience in transactional, corporate, or business-related legal roles
- Contract drafting and negotiation experience
- Strong analytical, drafting, and research skills
