Job Summary

To enhance student learning in automotive technology, the part-time Virginia Licensed Automotive Instructor will plan, organize, and deliver courses in various formats, providing timely feedback and engaging with students both in and out of the classroom.

Key responsibilities:

• Create a learning environment that promotes knowledge and skill acquisition in automotive technology
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to foster student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments while adhering to college policies and providing meaningful feedback to students

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a teaching field or Associate degree with demonstrated competency in the teaching field
• Two years of related work experience
• ASE certification in the areas being taught
• Recent automotive training within the past five years with a transcript or certification
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
