Virginia Licensed Care Coach
Job Summary
To support clients on their healing journeys, the part-time Virginia Licensed Care Coach will engage in 1:1 peer discussions, provide skill-based interventions, and assist with risk screenings while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Engages clients in discussions to align treatment goals and ensure attendance in programming
- Provides skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during heightened stress moments
- Conducts risk screenings and safety planning, escalating issues to crisis clinicians as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field, or relevant certifications
- Preferred: 2nd year Master's students with experience in mental health settings
- 1+ years of experience in mental health peer support, mentoring, or related roles
- Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration for applicants in Virginia
- Direct experience with mental health or substance use disorders, including lived experience
