Job Summary
Supporting OB/GYN services in a remote capacity, the Virginia Licensed Coding Specialist will ensure clinical documentation and coding accuracy while assisting providers with complex regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for provider services, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Analyze clinical documentation for coding accuracy and compliance with established guidelines
- Partner with physicians and clinical staff to support coding education and best practices
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant coding experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Experience with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
- Strong understanding of coding compliance and regulatory requirements
