Job Summary
To support student learning in the field of architecture and computer-aided drafting, the part-time Virginia Licensed Drafting Instructor will teach courses, engage with students in various formats, and provide timely feedback on academic progress.
Key responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in architecture and drafting
- Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
- Deliver instruction, conduct assessments, and provide meaningful feedback in accordance with college policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering Technology, or an Associate degree with demonstrated competency in the teaching field
- Two years of related work experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, or 3DS Max
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Familiarity with learning management systems such as CANVAS
