Virginia Licensed Farm Sales Specialist
Job Summary
To support agents in growing and retaining their Farmowner book of business, the full-time Virginia Licensed Farm Sales Specialist will work remotely in Virginia, providing technical expertise, conducting joint reviews, and delivering training to enhance agents' knowledge and effectiveness in farm insurance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist agents in writing larger and more complex Farmowner insurance accounts and conduct joint sales appointments
- Participate in annual joint reviews of significant Farmowner policies to identify coverage gaps and retention strategies
- Develop and deliver training programs to improve agents' farm insurance knowledge and sales techniques
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in insurance, particularly with Farmowner Insurance policies
- Property and Casualty Insurance License required or ability to obtain within established timeframes
- Professional P&C Insurance Industry designations such as AFIS, CIC, CPCU, or AAI are preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of farm operations and agricultural production practices
