Job Summary

To support a thriving oncology network, the full-time Remote Virginia Licensed Insurance Specialist Lead will manage the revenue cycle workload, oversee billing and collection processes, and provide training and guidance to co-workers while ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Directs and audits the revenue cycle workload, reassigning tasks and establishing priorities as needed
• Reviews reports for billing accuracy, resolves escalated issues, and ensures timely submission of insurance claims
• Trains co-workers on policies and procedures while proactively identifying and addressing process gaps

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum two years of insurance resolution experience and four years of automated medical billing and payment experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of oncology medical coding and medical billing processes is essential
• Familiarity with state and federal claims processing and collections guidelines is required
