Job Summary
To support the educational needs of students, the part-time Virginia Licensed Nurse Aide Instructor will teach courses, create engaging learning environments, and provide timely feedback to students in both classroom and online settings.
Key responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that facilitates student knowledge and skill acquisition
- Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies
- Deliver instruction and conduct assessments in accordance with college policies
Required qualifications
- Current, unrestricted registered nurse license in Virginia or multistate licensure privilege
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing
- One year of direct client care experience in geriatric long-term care
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care services
- Ability to complete certification for train the trainer and recertification every 3 years
