Job Summary

To support nursing education, the part-time Virginia Licensed Nursing Adjunct will teach courses, provide student feedback, and engage in curriculum development in both classroom and online settings.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student acquisition of knowledge and skills
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
• Conduct assessments of student learning and provide timely feedback while adhering to college policies

Required qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in Virginia
• Minimum of five years of nursing patient care experience, including three years in acute care
• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Experience in curriculum development in a higher education environment
• Basic understanding of strategies that promote student retention and success at the community college level
