Virginia Licensed Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
To support efficient pharmacy operations, the part-time remote Data Entry I will accurately enter and process prescriptions, triage incoming fax prescriptions, and communicate courteously with customers to ensure timely service.
Key responsibilities
- Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system accurately and promptly
- Triage incoming fax prescriptions and ensure proper documentation for timely dispensing
- Communicate with customers and follow up with doctors' offices regarding prescription refills
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
- 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
- Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
