Job Summary
To provide comprehensive patient care, the Virginia Licensed PRN Physician will assess and manage patients in various settings, including clinics and hospitals, on a part-time, remote basis, while collaborating with healthcare teams and performing necessary medical procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patients, formulating treatment plans and documenting health histories
- Perform and interpret diagnostic studies, order medications, and initiate referrals to specialists as needed
- Participate in on-call responsibilities and provide education to patients and families regarding treatment processes
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree
- Completion of an accredited residency in the chosen specialty
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia
- Current DEA certificate without restrictions
- Board certification in specialty (to be obtained within 2 years for newly graduated residents)
