Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To provide direct psychiatric care to adult patients in Virginia, the part-time Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct initial evaluations, manage medication, and follow patient progress via telehealth, working approximately 8-10 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations via telehealth, including diagnostic assessment and treatment planning
• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for a panel of patients
• Coordinate with patients' oncologists and primary care providers as clinically relevant

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric-Mental Health category (PMHNP-BC) with prescriptive authority
• Autonomous practice designation on Virginia APRN license with at least three years (4,500 hours) of full-time clinical experience
• Active DEA registration in good standing
• Board certification through ANCC (PMHNP-BC)
• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited psychiatric mental health NP program
