Job Summary
To provide direct psychiatric care to adult patients in Virginia, the part-time Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct initial evaluations, manage medication, and follow patient progress via telehealth, working approximately 8-10 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations via telehealth, including diagnostic assessment and treatment planning
- Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for a panel of patients
- Coordinate with patients' oncologists and primary care providers as clinically relevant
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Virginia license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric-Mental Health category (PMHNP-BC) with prescriptive authority
- Autonomous practice designation on Virginia APRN license with at least three years (4,500 hours) of full-time clinical experience
- Active DEA registration in good standing
- Board certification through ANCC (PMHNP-BC)
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited psychiatric mental health NP program
