Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual psychiatry service for youth in foster care, a Virginia Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide part-time to full-time remote clinical care, conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medication, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management via video
• Build treatment plans that integrate medication with evidence-based therapy, ensuring continuity of care
• Coordinate with therapists and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance service delivery

Required Qualifications

• PMHNP-BC certification
• Active RN and APRN licenses in Virginia or eligibility to obtain them
• Active DEA registration and state controlled substance registrations
• Three or more years of experience in psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children and adolescents
• Experience treating youth with trauma histories and complex medication regimens
