Virginia Licensed Respiratory Therapy Adjunct

Job Summary

To support student learning in respiratory therapy, the part-time Virginia Licensed Respiratory Therapy Adjunct will plan, organize, and deliver instruction in various formats, including in-person and online, while providing timely feedback and engaging with students outside of class.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in respiratory therapy
• Align course activities with student learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments in accordance with college policies, providing meaningful feedback to students

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in respiratory therapy or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Two or more years of occupational experience in respiratory therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credentials and licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Virginia
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
• Teaching experience at the college level is preferred
