Job Summary

Providing primary customer contact for VRS retirees, the full-time Remote Virginia Licensed Retiree Counseling Representative will manage inquiries about retirement plans, benefits, and processes while resolving issues and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policies.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries related to VRS plans, benefits, and retirement processes through various communication channels
• Guide retirees through the retirement process, including application reviews and processing timelines
• Resolve issues, complete income verification requests, and process death notifications for retirees and members

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a high-volume customer service environment or related field
• Experience serving customers via telephone, email, or in person
• Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and databases in a remote environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
