Virginia Licensed Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Accountant will manage month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and interact with clients while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide outsourced accounting services, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable functions
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the production and review of financial statements
- Interface with external auditors and communicate directly with clients regarding engagement matters
Required qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, or nonprofit accounting roles
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or license in progress preferred
- Experience in the not-for-profit industry is preferred
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct and QuickBooks
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
