Virginia Licensed Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

As a founding engineer on the AI-Native Services (AINS) team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior AI Engineer will build and operate production agents, work directly with design customers to map workflows, and establish evaluation processes, all while collaborating remotely with occasional in-office visits.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate production agents and workflows, including orchestration and data connections
• Collaborate with design customers to map workflows and develop solutions based on live data
• Create evaluation harnesses for monitoring and assessing agent performance post-launch

Required qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating AI agents or workflows in production
• Strong engineering judgment across models, APIs, and integrations
• Experience working directly with customers on discovery, implementation, or incident resolution
• Ability to break down complex workflows into deterministic steps and define testing protocols
• Familiarity with regulated domains such as payroll or payments is a plus
