Job Summary

Providing advanced expertise in contract review and negotiation, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Contract Reviewer will manage complex clinical and non-clinical research agreements, ensuring compliance with university policies and federal regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of high-complexity research agreements, ensuring alignment with university policies and sponsor requirements
• Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and provide guidance to faculty and research staff regarding compliance and contractual obligations
• Mentor junior contract reviewers and oversee quality assurance to ensure adherence to institutional standards and best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and extensive experience
• 3-5 years of progressive professional experience in research administration focused on drafting and negotiating complex contracts
• Proven ability to analyze and apply regulatory and contractual requirements, including federal, state, and local laws
• Advanced experience with Research Administration Management Systems (RAMS-SPOT) or comparable databases
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
