Virginia Licensed Senior Risk Manager

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership in a remote capacity, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Risk Manager will oversee the development and implementation of risk mitigation initiatives, collaborate with senior leadership on safety priorities, and manage complex risk issues impacting patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations and assessments of high-risk events, synthesizing findings and escalating significant issues as necessary
• Collaborate with various departments to design and implement targeted loss prevention strategies and monitor risk mitigation action plans
• Serve as a subject matter expert on risk management, providing education and guidance on claims, insurance principles, and regulatory compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Legal, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Healthcare Risk Management, Quality, or Safety
• CPHRM certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
• Demonstrable understanding of Risk Management principles
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
