Job Summary
Collaborating with various stakeholders, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Water Engineer will supervise staff, manage projects, and promote innovative water treatment technologies while working remotely to enhance water infrastructure and public health.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise staff providing technical assistance to small, underserved water and wastewater utilities nationwide
- Evaluate the design, costs, feasibility, and environmental impacts of proposed water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Lead business development activities, including identifying opportunities and developing client relationships
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical, environmental, civil, or a related engineering discipline
- 20-25 years of progressively responsible experience in water resources management and wastewater treatment
- Demonstrated expertise in developing comprehensive engineering reports
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards
- Knowledge of federal water and wastewater funding programs and financing mechanisms
