Job Summary
To support the mental health needs of student-athletes, a contract-based, 1099 Virginia Licensed Therapist will provide virtual individual counseling, focusing on short-term, solution-oriented therapy while working remotely and adhering to university protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential, individual behavioral health counseling through secure virtual appointments
- Conduct clinical assessments and establish individualized treatment goals using evidence-based interventions
- Monitor clinical progress and maintain timely documentation while coordinating care and referrals as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Master's level degree (LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) from an accredited program
- Current independent license in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of experience conducting therapy sessions as a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
- Experience with evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly CBT and DBT
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
