Virtual Access Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance patient access and navigate healthcare complexities, the full-time Virtual Access Specialist will educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) about patient support programs and reimbursement processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement using AbbVie approved tools
• Develop and sustain relationships with providers, ensuring effective communication regarding prescription status and program eligibility
• Identify payer trends and report insights to relevant teams to improve patient access strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in account management, payer account management, or access and reimbursement
• Thorough understanding of payer policy processes and documentation for coverage and prior authorization
• Strong communicator with experience in cross-matrix environments
• Critical thinking skills to assess and prioritize workloads effectively
