Virtual AWS Migrations Devops Engineer

Job Summary

A very different kind of software company is seeking a Virtual AWS Migrations Devops Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Building solutions to problems that interrupt availability, performance, and stability in systems, services, and products at scale
• Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the application, systems, database architecture, and the general application functionality
• Working in conjunction with IT, engineering, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical software degree
• AWS experience in EC2, S3 and CloudWatch required
• DevOps experience in Windows and Linux
• Experience in understanding network communications and routing, both on site - switches, routers, balancers, and AWS - VPC, SGs
• Experience with as many of the widespread database engines - SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres
• Comfortable working OS configuration/automation technologies
