Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Technician
Job Summary
To support a Navy client in a secure modernized computer environment, the full-time Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Technician will administer and deploy VMware Sphere v7.0 and Horizon View 8, ensuring the functionality of student training infrastructure and virtual desktops while assisting customers through monitoring and performance management.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and deploy VMware Sphere v7.0 and Horizon View 8, designing and documenting new infrastructure deployments
- Ensure the functionality and availability of student training infrastructure and properly configured virtual desktops
- Monitor performance and assist customers in overcoming challenges in a mission-critical network
Required qualifications
- Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in system and network administration
- Security+ certification or a qualifying bachelor's degree to meet DoD8140 DCWF WRC 451 requirements
- Experience with electronic documentation and system administration
